
African Festival Lowell Amateur Video Contest
Amateur videographers of all ages are welcome to compete. Only one entry per family. Entrant may not set up muliple cameras. This is intentionally a non-professional's contest. Festival directors (i.e., A.C.A. Board Members) and their immediate family members (parents and children) may not participate, sorry. The video topic is ONLY for this year's Festival itself, videotaped AT the Festival, and it must be between 1 and 2 minutes long please.
The video will be judged on:
1. Video clarity (highest quality possible for a YouTube posting)
2. Audio quality (highest quality possible for a YouTube posting)
3. Titles, transitions, and other special editing, including the subtle use of special effects, etc.
4. Ability to include the many Festival components (e.g., art, dance, music, craft and food vendors, festival attendants, etc.)
5. Creativity
There will be (1) winner who will receive $50. Please submit the form online below, completed as required, with a link to your YouTube posting of your video by July 5th. We must limit the quantities of entries to 20 total. Contest is sponsored by MediaArchitects.Co website design and video-for-web services. Any information field in the form below with a red asterisk REQUIRES the correct information. The form will not be submitted without it, sorry.

You must be able to post your video on your own YouTube account for review. If your video wins, it will be used to highlight the activities of the Festival. By entering the contest you agree that your video can be used by the African Cultural Council indefinitely as a means to highlight the Festival. Your video will be uploaded to a Media Architects YouTube account if you win.
