There are many ways to contribute to the success of the African Festival Lowell
Participating as a vendor, performing artist, serving as a sponsor, buying an ad, making a financial contribution, and showing up to the Festival with as many family and friends as you can, these are all ways to help build the festival and support it for years to come.
There are many opportunities to help with Festival preparation and post Festival administration as well. Social Media Sharing and Positive Comments Online is a Great Help!
Please start by using the Share | Click on "Share" at the top of the page to login into an amazing array of social media links
You can support the Festival by getting the website and ACA mission broadcast on your own social media venues. Would you have the time to post a link to this site on your Facebook page if you have one, for example?
Some of the most commonly used social media outlets are Twitter, Facebook, blogging, YouTube, Flickr and LinkedIn. All of these outlets are free. You may already have accounts, so please share our updates with your social network right away.
If you don't have an account with any of these, setting them up is easy. First decide how your "audience" i.e., your social network; your friends, your family, prefers receiving information. On average, adults prefer Facebook, LinkedIn, blogging, and other communications that provide more details or can be posted on a standard computer keyboard. The younger of the Social Media Network participants appreciate texting/instant messaging (IM). Twitter is mostly out of range for the oldest social media crowd. These are statistically based generalizations of course. You know YOUR audience. So please share the africanfestivallowell.org however you believe works for you!
But note that if you set up an account to help your favorite organizations (and socialize!) it is important to be consistent with posting to your network. Share links, photos, fundraising events, videos, etc. often. That repetition (as long as it's relevant information!) makes Social Media work!
