Lowell's African community throws a party

LOWELL Once you've sampled Greek music, move down Arcand Drive on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a taste of Africa.

The 3rd Annual African Festival at JFK Plaza is a celebration of tribal music, food and live African cultural dance performances.

Organized by natives of Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Cameroon and Ghana, this gathering of all African immigrants in the city is sure to be a colorful affair. But you don't have to be from the continent to join the party; everyone is welcome at this festive event.
